Welcome to Macon!

Located in the heart of Georgia, Macon started along the banks of the Ocmulgee River and is conveniently located 85 miles south of Atlanta and 20 miles north of Warner Robins.  Macon has deep history and culture and is the home of Little Richard, Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers, and Jason Aldean.  You’ll see a lot of the beautiful historic homes and buildings still standing in the downtown district along with plenty of restaurants and shopping.
